Reflecting on project questions:
What do you hope to learn?
We hope to learn how global giving will affect the Liberian schools and why safe water is important to have. So far, we have learned that the money we donate will help the Liberian schools because it takes a certain amount of money for a certain amount of water to get to each child. We also learned that safe water is important to have because it is not good to drink unsafe water as you could get very sick and it is very unhealthy. Also, it is not good for your hygiene when the water you use is unclean.
What do you hope to accomplish?
We hope to raise at least $20 from the car wash which will go toward the global giving goal of $75,000. Although very small compared to the overall goal, every dollar counts. The more and more people donate small amounts, the closer and closer we will get to reaching that $75,000 and bringing safe water to the underprivileged kids in Liberia.
What leadership skills do you hope to exhibit?
We are trying to exhibit Laulima, working together putting this project together, ma’ema’e, keeping the cars clean, and kokua, helping people clean their cars for them so we can help the liberian schools.
